Partner Parish Contribution Plan

  • Partner Parishes support Samaritan Ministry with their prayers, financial support, and volunteers.  Each Partner Parish representative is responsible for coordinating their Parish’s contribution(s).

 

  • The Fundraising Committee (including the Director of Development) is responsible overall for coordinating Partner Parish contributions and will generally have one volunteer committee member dedicated to Partner Parish activities.

 

  • The Fundraising Committee member responsible for Partner Parish Contributions will work closely with the Partner Parish Development Committee to strengthen relationships with Partner Parishes and their Representatives.

 

  • The Partner Parish Committee educates new and existing Partner Parish Representatives on their fundraising responsibilities, including securing the contribution form from their parish each year.  A Fundraising Committee member or the Development Director is available, as needed, to attend new Partner Parish Representative orientations to help support this process.

 

  • Each Partner Parish Representative receives a section related to Fundraising and Partner Parish contributions to insert in their Partner Parish handbook (Section: Becoming a Partner Parish Representative) and contains information about securing Parish contributions.  These materials will be reviewed with new Partner Parish Representatives by a Partner Parish Committee member (items D-G). 

 

  • In September of each year, normally September Partner Parish Council meeting and before the next Partner Parish contribution calendar year cycle begins (for example September 2006 for calendar year 2007) information will be provided to each Partner Parish Representative by the Fundraising Committee. The information includes a status report (prepared by Director of Development) for the Parish contributions for the present year, a case for support, and a partner parish contribution form for the upcoming calendar year. The Fundraising Committee and/or the Director of Development remind Partner Parish Representatives of their responsibility to have the form completed and returned to the Director of Development by October 31.

 

  • During September-December each Partner Parish Representative will be called by a member of the Partner Parish or Fundraising Committee (an initiative led by the Fundraising Committee member responsible for Parish contributions) to remind them about the upcoming calendar year contribution process and offer suggestions and support as needed. Callers will use the Partner Parish Contributions Script for these calls.  This call will also include conversation about the status of Parish Contributions for the current calendar year for any Parish that has not met their agreed upon pledge.

 

  • The Director of Development will prepare and the Fundraising Committee and Partner Parish Committee will review quarterly reports on the status of Parish contribution forms and gifts in March, June, September, and December.  The individual Parish contribution reports will also be provided to each Partner Parish Representative.

 

  • In March and then again in June of the new calendar year, Partner Parish Representatives that haven’t submitted the contribution form for that year will be called and reminded to do so.  These initiatives will be led by the Fundraising Committee member responsible for Partner Parish contributions and the calls will be placed by members of the Partner Parish/Fundraising Committees. Callers will use the Partner Parish Contributions Script for these calls. Representatives of Parishes that haven’t met their agreed upon pledges will also be called.
