Help the Homeless Walkathon
November 22,
2008

Join Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington as
we walk to end homelessness.
Over 12,000 people in the Washington Metro region have no place
to call home.
The Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Program raises awareness of and
funds for local
organizations that are working to prevent and end homelessness,
with an emphasis
on programs like the Next Step Program, that help homeless
people return to independent living.
Here's how you can help:
Mini Walks - Schools, community-based organizations and faith-based organizations are invited to host mini-walks. A mini-walk must be held on the sponsoring organization's property during regular operating hours. If you organization is interested in hold a mini-walk in support of Samaritan Ministry please contact Dianne Lewis at dlewis@samaritanministry.org
Friends of Samaritan Ministry - Help the Friends of Samaritan Ministry raise $100,000 for the Next Step Program. Fannie Mae will provide a matching bonus of 20 percent if the Friends group raises $100,000, becoming Hero Circle Partners. Samaritan Ministry will receive all the funds raised plus the additional $20,000 bonus from Fannie Mae and a lot of publicity!
